Fundraising
Erin talked about various methods we could employ to increase our fund raising activities such as Cornfest bartending.
Electronic fundraising, where people could donate online.
Possibly look into selling coupon booklets.
- 7:06 Ben left for a bit (as he’s on the Town of Holland board)
Mike Flury arrived to talk about the new baseball/soccer field he and the Town of Holland are constructing: Flury family donation of 25k (50k with Town of Holland match) to build a 11u baseball/softball field with soccer field that would likely be slightly smaller than a High School soccer field.
Mike asked if the group would be able to donate to the cause, with equipment or money towards the construction.
-
7:16 Mike leaves and Ben returns
Resumed discussion on fundraising. The board discussed needing to set a fundraising goal. We also talked about creating a wishlist for donation usage. In the past donations have gone towards equipment, but could be used for coaching fees, reducing membership costs and providing scholarships. Board decided to aim for 10 - 15K for fundraising goals/year. Discussed having Cordell as a sponsor for the FAST Academy.
